The new year is also an opportunity to start again.

Re-focus.

Reset.

Re-engage.

Redefine.

Discover those places where we want—and need—to grow to live more fully, freely, joyfully, present.

In December (which feels far away already), I sent out a survey and I learned so much from you about what makes your recovery work, how you are thriving, and also things that you’d like to learn about and focus on in the new year. Based on your feedback, here are the areas that are the most important in your journey right now:

I’ve decided to keep the survey going because it’s been so incredible hearing and learning from you. Take a couple minutes to take the survey now.

This year, together, let’s explore the areas of the recovery journey that we care about.

Let’s discover how to address things like anxiety, depression, and mental health challenges that may be holding us back.

Let’s learn how to embrace our struggles as opportunities that will propel us forward.

Let’s explore the variety of pathways that can lead to greater self-awareness, clarity, and connection in life and recovery.

Let’s learn more about inter-generational trauma and how we can heal our families.

And, finally, let’s learn more about a creative recovery. What this means and how we can nurture it.

In the rooms of recovery meetings or other types of support groups like divorce or grief support groups, there is usually a circle of chairs (the name of this newsletter for a reason). I love this image. It is a visual reminder that we are never alone. We can have, if we choose, a circle of support around us as we go to the deep places, the hard places in our stories. Not to stay there, but to be transformed.
