Having a trained and experienced speaker in recovery can make or break your event.
Here’s why:
Lived and living experience brings legitimacy and passion
Knowing how to talk about recovery so stigma is not perpetuated is important
Motivation is contagious
Knowing the research can be key
Did you know that I’ve worked for years in the addiction and mental health recovery field and spoken to thousands of individuals, organizations, and businesses? I’ve shared during policy briefings and hearings, university administration board meetings, church gatherings, recovery meetings, rallies, and at national and international conferences and events.
Here are just a few of my recent speaking engagements and where I’m heading in 2024.
I’m sharing this because I want you all to be the first to know that I’ve joined an organization that provides incredible training, education, and assistance across the United States.
The Opioid Response Network is a coalition of 46 national organizations representing over 2 million constituents, providing education and training opportunities across the prevention, treatment, recovery, and harm reduction of opioid, stimulant, and other substance use disorders.
You can request me to speak at your next event or conference by completing this request form. The cool thing is that ORN pays for all travel, expenses, even an honorarium in some cases so I can come to your event at NO COST to you.
I’ve heard from many of you that you’d love to invite me to speak, but it’s not in the budget. Hopefully, this will make my services more accessible to those who need them.
Some topics that I LOVE to speak on include addiction and mental health recovery, trauma-informed care and resilience practices, recovery messaging (how to share our stories in non-stigmatizing ways), organizational leadership and development, community building, faith-based recovery support, women’s recovery considerations, and more.
You are also welcome to contact me directly through my website as well.
Of course, I also love talking about all things books, too. Did you miss my announcement of my next book? Check this out!
You can reach out with inquiries about book events, too! Can’t wait to hear from you.

#RecoveryMonth is almost here! Will you share with me what you are doing to celebrate this year or what you hope gets highlighted throughout the month?
I’d also love to connect with you. If you want to have a live chat about all things recovery, shoot me an email at carolinebeidler@gmail.com.
