Today something good happened, but I hesitated to share the news.
How can I celebrate this little joy when what’s happening on the other side of the globe is the worst kind of horror?
Can we please just rewind and go back to before this was happening (again), before war and torture and unspeakable tragedy (again) sweeps across our world like a swarm of locusts?
Can we wade through the human-created confusion and delusion of power and staking a claim into a peaceful place where we just love each other?
My heart breaks for what’s going on right now all over the world. In Israel. Africa. Ukraine. Eastern Tennessee. I’m sure yours does, too. In your own way and for your own reasons.
My heart also sings a quiet song for what is beautiful in this messed up world.
I’ve got some good news and I’m sharing it with you today because I have to believe that our little joys still matter in our troubled world.
Perhaps now, more than ever, we must cling to these glints of light, these tiny triumphs.
Lake Drive Books is going to be the new home for my second book!!!
In this book (the title is going to be released soon!) we will explore family trauma (or inter-generational trauma) and learn five rhythms of transformation that will help you not only understand your family’s trauma in new ways but also get to the next level in your life and recovery.
I’m so thrilled to be working with David Morris and Lake Drive Books, such an innovative publisher committed to bringing books that help us heal, grow, and discover.
I can’t wait to share more about my journey with Lake Drive Books and the process of bringing my next book into the world. Hopefully, this book will lead you into a place of greater joy and set you on a path towards greater healing.

I really like to write as well and have a very serious story I would like to disclose and offer hope through, but I have no idea where to reach to or about costs I'd have. Where do I start?
Thank you Caroline! I thought "Downstairs Church" was great depite our gender difference. I am eager to read the next because there has been some generational issues passed down and instilled that have affected me. I wanted to be an author before my issues even were apparent. Now I have a topic and a mission, but I have no idea where to start. When you say substack, do you mean Lake Breeze Books? I'm already on the substack that includes this email and many others.
