Dear Friend and Recovery Supporter,
Here's your weekly message — and I wanted to share about one of the books I'm reading and one of the books I can't wait to read next month!
Dr. Lee Warren is a brain surgeon, inventor, Iraq War veteran, and author of I've Seen the End of You: A Neurosurgeon's Look at Faith, Doubt, and the Things We Think We Know. I discovered him when I was doing research on an article about hope.
I'm currently reading his book, I've Seen the End of You about his work with brain cancer patients, loss, and faith. It is tragic, honest, and at the same time hopeful. In a way, it reminds me of the recovery journey and of so many of the people I've met in church basements and circles of chairs.
His new book, Hope Is the First Dose: A Treatment Plan for Recovering from Trauma, Tragedy, and Other Massive Things is releasing in July and is available for pre-order now. I can't wait to read it and hope you check it out! I'll also be talking with Dr. Warren on his podcast in a couple weeks. Stay tuned!
I’m also back with your weekly message! Just click on the image of the envelope and dig in. This week, I’ve got a couple questions for you.
Keeping it short and sweet.
With hope,
PS. If you missed it, check out my latest article about my mentor and how I learned about the healing power of stories.
