As summer picks up, life can feel anything but peaceful. The noise, the pressure to hustle, the endless scroll… it’s a lot.
Not to mention, the current state of our world.
Turmoil. War. Murder. Sadness. Addiction. Trauma.
As many of us are going about our summer uninterrupted, others around the globe are struggling in ways that we cannot imagine.

So, what can we do?
I’ve been reminded lately of the power of pause.
Taking a couple extra minutes in the morning to pray.
Practicing rest days from not only social media, but also exercise, chores, news, and more.
Laying on the sofa with a good book, not to learn anything, but just to enjoy, to savor.
Not forgetting the struggle around me but nestling into the moment of goodness God still creates, even when trouble surrounds.
How do you practice rest?
Is your heart moving you to slow down in this summer season?
I’m honored to invite you into something that just might help you practice slowing down. Not just physically, but perhaps emotionally too. Making space for the spirit to move in new ways.
